Metallic vinyl is very similar to standard cast and intermediate vinyl except the material is mixed with metal flakes. These metal flakes give the vinyl its reflectivity. Typically metallic vinyl is more expensive because of the additional process of adding the metal flakes during manufacturing. Metallic vinyl lettering looks great for many situations where you want something that looks a little bit nicer than ordinary vinyl lettering. Gold and silver are two colors that are traditionally available in metallic. However, metallic vinyl isn't limited to these two colors. Often pearl styled colors can also be metallic in nature which are usually available in any standard color.
