Whenever we produce vinyl lettering we also cover the finished weeded product with transfer tape before sending out to our customers. Transfer tape is similar to masking tape in that it is a paper based product coated with a light adhesive. The adhesive is stronger than the grip of the vinyl on the backing paper, however, it is much less strong than the permanent adhesive on the actual vinyl. Transfer tape comes to us in many different sizes. This cuts down on waste making a much greener product. There are several variations of transfer tape. One major variation is clear transfer tape. Clear transfer tape allows you to see the product once coated with transfer tape. This makes it easy to line up the vinyl lettering during creation.
